Water Management System
Residential product

Ecoligence is a green product company introducing a Water Management System dedicated to reduce water consumption of households, hotels and multi-family buildings. It manages water consumption, hot water monitoring, leak detection with automatic valve shutoff, irrigation system controller and rainwater management. The intelligent system presents a touch screen that is easy to understand and helps to reduce water consumption and bills based on history feedback. All components are wireless and very easy to install.

Water Consumption

Water resources are under pressure and water costs are on the increase. Therefore conserving water makes sense on many levels. With time, all water delivery systems will deteriorate. Pipes will corrode and fracture. Taps, valves tanks and other components will leak and fail. Maintaining system efficiency is virtually impossible unless there are indicators strategically installed to highlight changes in consumption. Where buildings are using water efficiently, one serious burst can use thousands of pounds worth of water if undetected. Fitting an Ecoligence system will monitor water consumption, highlight deterioration in efficiency and stop water flow in the event of a burst.

Once water has passed through your water meter, it's your water. Efficient water usage costs less and is good for the environment. The cost of installing an Ecoligence system is an investment that continues to deliver cost savings year after year. One serious water pipe burst could cost many times more than an Ecoligence water management system.

Leak detection

Insurance companies agree that water damage now ranks with fire as responsible for the majority of material damage loss. This is why you need water leak insurance. A burst or leaking water pipe can cause a huge amount of damage in a very short time and often goes unnoticed until the damage has been done. Unoccupied properties are especially vulnerable. Schools that are closed at evenings, weekends and holidays, buildings under construction, domestic dwellings, and empty during the working day or holiday times. All these are the high risk periods where a burst pipe can run unnoticed for hours or days.

Ecoligence’s automatic stop-valve will shut off the water supply as soon as a leak is detected. In addition, alarms can be sent to a Building Management System. The intelligent system can also send alerts by SMS Text message and email to your mobile.

Irrigation system

A large part of our household water use goes to watering our landscape and many households rely on automatic irrigation systems to accomplish this. One of the most important components of an automatic irrigation system is the irrigation controller (also called a timer or clock). The controller turns the irrigation system on and off at the times you select. In other words, the controller controls the irrigation system and you control the controller. Having a controller with certain minimum performance capabilities is vital to efficient watering. The right controller, properly scheduled, can result in significant water savings and lower water bills.

The Ecoligence Water Management system is ready to be wirelessly “connected” to your new or existing irrigation system. This is easily done by removing the signal cables running through your existing controller and connecting them to the Ecoligence Wireless Pod, which will relay the communications to the Ecoligence main display screen. You will benefit from the Ecoligence graphical and user friendly interface and will ease your programming experience.

An automatic irrigation system is a collection of pipes, tubing, valves, sprinkler heads, and circuitry used to irrigate a landscape. Automatic valves (also called stations or zones), which control the flow of water to different parts of the landscape, open and shut upon a signal from the controller. For example, there may be one valve that controls the water flow to some groundcover, another valve for some shrubs and another valve for the lawn. Once programmed, the controller determines when, how often, and how long each valve is open. It controls how much water goes where and when in your landscape based upon your instructions. The more programming flexibility the controller has, the more efficiently water can be applied to the landscape.

The key to watering efficiently is to obtain a controller that can handle diverse landscape and weather situations and then to program it properly to meet your plants’ water needs. That is what Ecoligence controller is all about.

Ecoligence Water Management - Irrigation controller capabilities:

  • Three independent programs
  • Station run times from one to 200 minutes
  • Three start times per program

Rainwater collection system

Rainwater harvesting is an ancient technique that is enjoying a big revival in popularity around the world because of its inherent qualities. Archeological evidence supports the capture of rainwater as far back as 4000 years ago and ruins of cisterns built as early as 2000 BC are still standing in Israel. Rainwater has a culture, it is attractive to our senses, and to some it is sacred. It is called sky supply, water from heaven, and nature's watering agent.

Rainwater is a renewable, sustainable and a high quality water source for your home or cottage.
How much water do you need? When calculating the amount of water you need, seriously consider what you want your system to do, and add conservation measures that fit your lifestyle. Consider your indoor and outdoor water requirements separately. Your total potential water capture can be calculated using the following simple formula:

  • 1" of rain on 1 square foot of roof area produces 0.52 imperial gallons of water
  • Or 1 mm of rain on 1 square meter of roof area produces 1 liter of water

The Ecoligence Water Management System - Rainwater capabilities include:

  • Wireless cistern water level (remaining) monitoring
  • Projected cistern water level based on actual consumption (including average) with an expected “empty tank” date
  • Live weather forecast for rainfall in your area from Internet feeds
  • Automatic computation of cistern water level and expected empty date based on rainfall forecast
  • Wireless cistern leak detectors with automatic valve shut-off and alarm sent to SMS Text message and email to your mobile
The system can be installed on any new or existing rainwater collection system, all components wireless.
